Western medicine reminds us that bone health is precarious in the third act of life, particularly for women who can develop osteopenia or osteoporosis, in varying degrees of severity, despite their intake of calcium or history of mobility. It seems virtually unavoidable, according to the medical literature. Falls and bone breaks are the undoing of many, and can result in immobility. In Ireland, for instance, according to research published in May 2023 in Women’s Health and posted to the National Institute of Health website, the necessary hospitalization for immobility is impossible due to the overload on the system. There is no room in the medical system for all the elders suffering from osteoporosis.
According to the International Osteoporosis Foundation, 200 million women worldwide are living with osteoporosis or osteopenia. Disabilities due to osteoporosis occur with more frequency than cancer-caused disabilities, with the one exception of lung cancer. The severity of osteoporosis increases with age so that by the time a woman is 80 years old, she has a 70% chance of having osteoporosis and of having life threatening injuries as a result. Every fall, every fracture becomes a threat to mobility, lifestyle, and longevity.
To counteract these frightening and demoralizing predictions, we are called to redefine our relationship to activity and to consider an entire paradigm shift about bone health. If we explore playful new weight-bearing exercises, and stimulate circulation through a fascinating spectrum of self-massage and dietary options, we may find our bones repairing more readily from injury and growing stronger. Energy medicine is a secret sauce to maximize motivation and innovative creativity. We are perfectly positioned right now to discover surprising routes to structural security.
Most basic and fundamental to this paradigm shift is how we regard our bones. Indigenous people treasure the bones of their ancestors because they carry intergenerational wisdom. Could it be that our bones link us to deep, ancient time, that they include the story of our lives and the lives that came before us and through our lineage, and that we can listen to our bones and speak directly to them as we take care of them like treasures?
The Regenerative Health program takes a multi-disciplinary approach to bone health. In this regard, I integrate remarkable energy medicine protocols with an understanding of how to stimulate the lubricating, hydrating fluids of the body that repair bone injuries and strengthen the very marrow of our bones. To this I add a stunning design for both listening to and speaking with our bones in such a way that their wisdom is recognized and amplified. I invite you to safely experiment with me using your own touch, your deepest listening, your presence and your attunement to uncover the stories in your bones and harvest them for bone health.
As someone determined to live fully throughout my life, I have been daunted by the so-called inevitability of bone loss, increased bone fragility and the fear of falls that threaten to limit my adventures in the wild. As an 80-year-old Crone I have expanded my weight-bearing activity significantly. I have warded off bone injuries and self-implemented successful repair of a bone bruise so that all threatened surgeries have been averted. But nothing has made as much of a difference as listening to and talking to my bones. I was guided to do this and have created a protocol to share the process with others. Recognizing, in an entirely new way, after decades of research in mind-body health, that my body contains all the wisdom I need to optimize its brilliant capacity to be the vehicle for my purpose in being amazes me yet again.
In forthcoming posts in this series, I will share specific actions you can take to maximize your bone health and all that is implied by that. I will also offer a two-part gathering, December 7 and December 14, to learn, practice and share the biodynamics and hydraulics of bone health that lead to trustworthy stability. What is most stunning is how these practices evolve consciousness. You generate, from within, entirely new perspectives on self-care and selfhood. Your bones come alive when you come alive to them. This new perspective is nature-based, elemental, and includes the morphogenesis within our bones, making them star players in the Secret of Resilience, which is the title of my recent book from Inner Traditions. Everyone who attends the two-part program receives a handbook to guide them through daily practices of innovative self-care and listening to our bones.
I am bubbling over with excitement to hear the stories in your bones, and to share with you the hands-on exercises and inner awakenings that lead to increased bone strength and vitality in your third act of life. Our community will further amplify the power of these practices, so attending the program is like a mega-dose of regeneration for your bones. Younger people will also benefit from this program as they have a head start on assuring bone vibrancy.
No previous experience with energy medicine or hands-on practices is necessary to attend this program. All ages and genders are welcome.

Hi - this sounds fascinating. Will you be recording the sessions - times might not work for me here in Australia. I'm interested to know more about your approach. Thanks
This is so needed! 🙏💃🏻🪄
